The GÉMINI is the first model presented by TAO MOTOR. The sporty lines and the ease of driving are typical of the range of products designed for urban mobility and These motorcycle-scooters have recently become the most popular electric motorcycles in Europe.

DESIGN

The GÉMINI is a sports scooter designed to have a sharp, muscular look and to be overall more dynamic than ordinary scooters. It's a remarkable improvement over the model it replaces from every angle.

It has a razor sharp sporty design and looks bulkier than its predecessors it is the next generation electric scooter

The general character of the GÉMINI is its manufactured look with its solid oversized chassis and its battery compartment easily accessible from the side

It is equipped with gel batteries but offers you optional lithium batteries much lighter which recharges faster and above all gives you much more autonomy for hours of pleasure.

Equipped with an LED front light that ensures visibility in all weather or light conditions thanks to the new generation LED components. Designed in an aggressive style, it gives the GÉMINI a more modern and sporty appearance.

ERGONOMICS

The wide handlebar has been completely redesigned to promote a sporty riding position and to provide optimal comfort and ergonomics. In addition, a new-generation sports saddle with "triple density" padding helps to increase comfort when riding. This improves the stability and well-being of the pilot.

The chassis inspired by the racing world, according to TAO MOTOR, gives the bike an aggressive appearance and makes it more stable, and above all comfortable when riding.

So far, the GÉMINI is the sportiest model in TAO MOTOR's placeable electric range.

The positioning of the motor in the wheel hub and the battery in the lower part of the GÉMINI lowers the center of gravity of the motorcycle to the benefit of driving pleasure and safety.

Powertrain performance and specifications

The GÉMINI is made with an in-wheel motor that produces 5kW of power at launch and 3000w at cruise and the rider can choose from three different modes that alter throttle response as well as speed.

In the urban mode, the speed is set for a maximum of 25 km/h, allowing the user to access sufficient performance in urban environments without having to sacrifice safety.

In Ride mode, the third-generation FOC controller enables a top speed of 32 km/h and more powerful instantaneous torque than any equivalent internal combustion engine (ICE). In Urban mode, the speed is limited to 25 km/h to provide sufficient performance and maximum safety in an urban environment.

The Gemini is available with multiple battery packs to allow you to dial in your budget and have easy access to the batteries should you wish to replace them in the future for longer battery life.

LIGHT

TAO MOTOR GÉMINI includes LED headlight, LED taillight, LED turn signals

The headlight is incorporated into an elegant futuristic-style housing. The LED modules are used in combination for high/high beam and low beam. These provide brighter and more efficient illumination than the equivalent capabilities of a halogen headlight.

Over 8000 lumens are concentrated in a 35 degree beam in high beam mode.

Thirty independent LEDs support wide angle daylight. The rear racing brake and LED flashing lights are designed in a classic style matching the beauty of the shape of the motorcycle of the future.

The front and rear LED turn signals are 40cm apart which makes this scooter motorcycle compliant.

DISPLAY, GAUGES, SWITCHES

A completely digital screen is included in a futuristic-style dashboard. It displays current speed, total mileage and battery charge status

Three electronic switches, a high/low beam switch and an engine stop switch are ergonomically positioned on the right side of the handle bar.

The GÉMINI is equipped with an mp3 audio system that connects directly to your cell phone to play your beautiful music and enhance your walk.

12-inch wheels with 120/70 (front) and 120/70 (rear) tyres, ensure a safe ride in all weather or road surface conditions, with a larger footprint for maximum grip without sacrificing grip. agility while keeping the bike accessible to people of small stature and young beginner riders

BRAKES and SAFETY DEVICES

The Gemini moto-scooter is equipped with a powerful front and rear dual-piston hydraulic disc brake with oversized floating calipers. As 80% of brake pressure is absorbed by the rear brakes, this brake is powerful enough to handle any situation you might face.

Soft regenerative braking is applied before mechanical braking to act as an anti-lock braking system ABS. Front and rear disc brakes are governed by a Combined Braking System CBS that distributes braking force between the front and rear wheels according to load and speed. The battery is also under the control of the BMS algorithm to ensure that the maximum amount of converted electrical energy is recovered. Finally, the speed controller regulates motor voltage and current to produce smooth braking.

SECURITY

The GEMINI has a start with key and its remote control. It has mechanical and electronic theft protection devices. It is equipped with a steering wheel lock that locks the handlebars in one position.

Apart from that, it has an electronic key start system which makes it almost impossible to start the scooter if you don't have the keys and remote. The motor locks automatically if the remote control is not present nearby.

Engine

The 12-inch BOSCH motor rotor is integrated into the cast aluminum wheel itself and it has been developed as precisely as a Swiss watch.

The motor is rated at 3000 watts, but it can effortlessly sustain 5000 watts of peak power (equivalent to over five horsepower) when accelerating or driving up steep hills. At full speed, it returns to 800W when used on flat ground, which prevents overheating and extends motor life.

Motor control device

The heart of the bike – the 3rd Gen HD controller – is encased in a one-piece die-cast aluminum box for exceptional heat dissipation.

The new high-efficiency HD controllers draw much less current and develop more power. It is a field-oriented -FOC controller that has a vector control algorithm that maintains efficiency across a wide range of speeds.

This controller also dynamically takes into account torque changes based on road conditions. Finally, it is equipped with a dedicated 3rd generation HD processor monitoring all electronic components ensuring a safe and efficient ride for you.

BATTERY

LE GÉMINI is built with a 72V / 20AH GEL high energy density battery, which gives you a range of 40 km perfect for most journeys especially urban trips and to have even more autonomy there is an option available 30 amp and 40 amp lithium batteries

Lithium batteries are much more expensive but a lithium battery is much lighter, This recharges faster and gives you even more autonomy and its lifespan is double the standard gel battery an option to seriously consider
