The TC WANDERER was one of the first models presented by VMOTO SUPER SOCO. The vintage - sporty lines and the ease of driving are typical of the range of products designed for urban mobility

These motorcycle-scooters have recently become the most popular electric motorcycles in Europe. They have been called "the Tesla of electric motorcycles". And have become the ideal means of transport for many people.

This new TC WANDERER is the 3rd generation TC model and has been completely redesigned and redesigned. Its performance has also been radically improved in terms of power, speed, range and torque.

Design
The Super Soco TC WANDERER is a café racer scooter designed to have a sharp, muscular look and be overall more dynamic than the TC.

It's a remarkable improvement over the model it replaces from every angle. It has a razor-sharp design and looks bulkier than the TC, and the next-gen electric scooter retains the mono-shock rear suspension but features split grab bars for added sportiness.

The overall character of the TC WANDERER is amplified by the light of the LED headlights which ensure visibility in all weather or light conditions thanks to the new generation LED components. Designed in a cafe racer style, it gives the TC a more modern and sporty appearance but just as vintage

This scooter is a collaborative project between companies like DUCATI, BOSCH, PANASONIC and other European companies that contribute not only to its impeccable and remarkable design but also to its rigidity and durability.

Ergonomics
Stability is enhanced by the wide handlebar, which has been completely redesigned for a sporty riding position and provides an ergonomic and comfortable experience.

A new sporty saddle improves riding comfort with “triple density” padding. According to Vmoto Soco, this new model gives the motorcycle an aggressive appearance and makes it more stable, yet comfortable when riding.

So far, the TC is the most vintage model in the Super Soco line.

The positioning of the motor in the wheel hub and the battery in the lower part of the new TC makes it possible to lower the center of gravity of the scooter to the benefit of driving pleasure and safety.

Powertrain performance and specifications
The Super Soco TC WANDERER mounts a 2500w in-wheel motor which produces 5kW of peak power and 180Nm of torque.

The rider can choose from three different modes that alter the throttle response. In ride mode, which unlocks maximum performance, the top speed is 75 km/h. The third generation of the FOC controller provides instantaneous torque exceeding the acceleration of any equivalent ICE power.

By using two Panasonic 60V, 32A batteries, a total capacity of 3.84 kWh is achieved. When fully charged, the two batteries allow the Super Soco TC WANDERER to travel a distance of 120 km. Each battery takes three and a half hours to fully charge.

LIGHT
Super Soco TC WANDERER features LED headlight, LED taillight, LED turn signals

The headlight is incorporated into an elegant retro-style housing. Six LED modules are used in combination for high/high beam and low beam. These provide brighter and more efficient illumination than the equivalent capabilities of a halogen headlight.

Over 8000 lumens are concentrated in a 35 degree beam in high beam mode.

Thirty independent LEDs support wide angle daylight. The rear running brake and LED turn signal lights are designed in a classic style that matches the beauty of the retro motorcycle shape.

The front and rear LED turn signals are 40cm apart which makes this scooter motorcycle compliant.

DISPLAY, GAUGES, SWITCHES
A combined analog/digital display is included in a retro-style dashboard. It displays current speed and error codes, total mileage, controller temperature, real-time output current, battery charge status, distance per charge, remaining distance, ambient temperature and the current time.

All this data can be displayed via a smartphone application when it becomes available at the end of the year. Three electronic switches, a high/low beam switch and an engine stop switch are ergonomically positioned on the right side of the handle bar.

TIRES
17-inch wheels with 100/80 (front) and 120/70 (rear) tyres, according to Vmoto Soco, ensure safe driving in all weather or road surface conditions, with a larger footprint for maximum grip without sacrificing agility.

BRAKES and SAFETY DEVICES
The Super Soco TC WANDERER is fitted with a massive 220mm disc hydraulic twin piston front brake with oversized floating calipers. Since on any motorcycle the front brakes absorb 80% of the braking pressure, this brake will more than handle any situation you find yourself in.

A unique safety feature of this scooter is that the left brake lever has a double line that activates both the front and rear brakes. The rear brake is activated 50 milliseconds before the front brake preventing the scooter from jackknifing in emergency situations and on wet roads.

Soft regenerative braking is always applied before mechanical braking, thus acting as an Anti Block System -ABS. Stopping power comes from single disc brakes front and rear, governed by a Combined Braking System CBS.

The battery's BMS algorithm also ensures that the maximum amount of converted electrical energy is recovered.

SECURITY

The Super Soco TC WANDERER has a keyless start that only works near its remote. It has mechanical and electronic theft protection devices. It is equipped with a steering wheel lock that locks the handlebars in one position.

Apart from that, it has an electronic keyless start system which makes it almost impossible to start the scooter if you don't have the remote ignition activation button. The motor locks automatically if the remote control is not present nearby.

The scooter is equipped with a network enable GPS system which communicates with the smart phone app and the scooter can be located anywhere in the world. The application for North America is under development.

 

Engine
The 12-inch BOSCH motor rotor is integrated into the 17-inch cast aluminum wheel itself and it has been developed as precisely as a Swiss watch. The motor is rated at 2500 watts, but it can effortlessly sustain 5000 watts of peak power (equivalent to over five horsepower) when accelerating or driving up steep inclines.

At full speed, it returns to 800W when used on flat ground, which prevents overheating and extends motor life. Torque is the main performance specification of a motorcycle and SUPER SOCO TC WANDERER boasts over 180nm of torque at a speed of 45km/h.

Motor control device
The heart of the bike – the 3rd generation controller – is encased in a one-piece die-cast aluminum box for exceptional heat dissipation. It is mounted on the front of the bike for more efficient cooling although its oversized current ratings would keep it cool even on long climbs.

It is a field-oriented -FOC controller that has a vector control algorithm that maintains efficiency across a wide range of speeds.

This controller also dynamically takes into account torque changes based on road conditions. Finally, it is equipped with a dedicated 3rd generation processor monitoring all electronic components ensuring a safe and efficient ride for you.

BATTERY

SUPER SOCO TC WANDERER is built with a 60V/32AH Panasonic high energy density lithium battery, the same batteries used in Tesla cars.

Each cell is separated by 5mm from the adjacent cell, resulting in 4 times greater heat dissipation than conventional compact batteries, thus extending their lifespan. The battery is encased in a sleek and strong aircraft aluminum shell. The battery compartment can hold two batteries which will double its range.

A single battery can power the scooter for 60 km in ECO mode and 40 km at full speed. The batteries are also removable and can be charged on or off the scooter.

The sophisticated BMS battery algorithm dynamically calculates the state of charge and displays it on the dashboard as the remaining driving distance available.
